Explore the rugged terrain of the awe-inspiring land of Fire & Ice. From frozen waterfalls to spectacular ice caves and immense glaciers, Black sand beaches, naturally heated geothermal pools and sea stack from cooling lava. Day 1: Welcome to Iceland | Blue Lagoon Experience

Welcome to Iceland! At the arrival halls parking lot you will find Destination Blue Lagoon which will take you to the Blue Lagoon. Transfer will take approx. 25min. Your admission is at 9 AM. It includes access to the lagoon, silicone mask, towel and one drink of your choice. After two hours of relaxation at the spa the bus from the same company will take you to Reykjavik. Please note that you will have to change the bus at the terminal, from there you will be taken directly to your accommodation at Eyja Guldsmeden hotel. Total transfer time approx. 1h20min.

The rest of the day you can explore on your own. You could for example visit Hallgrímskirkja church, Harpa Concert Hall, Sun Voyage monument and stroll along the old town area. In particular Laugavegur and Skolavordustigur streets should not be missed.

Day 3: South Coast Waterfalls, Black Beach & Glacier

The South Coast of Iceland is an amazingly diverse natural environment filled with magnificent must-see landscapes, majestic waterfalls, eye-catching volcanoes, iconic black sand beaches, fast-flowing rivers, iceberg lagoons, and gigantic glaciers.

This two-day tour will quickly take you there from Reykjavik, and you’ll first be amazed by one dazzling waterfall after another. Then you will have the option to strap on crampons and walk across a blue-ice glacier, before walking across the world-famous black sand beach at Reynisfjara, taking in the astonishing Reynisdrangar sea stacks.

The second day of your South Coast summer tour sees us traveling into the Vatnajokull National Park, the largest in Iceland. There are stops at the picturesque seaside village of Vik, the enchanting Fjadrargljufur canyon, the traditional turf church at Hofskirkja, and crowned by the glittering Glacier Lagoon and Diamond Beach at Jokulsarlon.

Day 5: Geldingadalir Volcano

This first eruption in the Reykjanes Peninsula in about 800 years provides a unique opportunity to study the geologic mysteries of the region and is open for all to enjoy! After being shaken by months of increasingly disruptive earthquakes, including thousands in the past weeks, Iceland’s Reykjanes Peninsula is finally experiencing the volcanic eruption that many geologists suspected was on its way.

The driver and guide will take the group to the start of the hiking route towards the volcano in Geldingadalur. The hike will take approximately 1.5 hours each way, please note that this is an estimated time. The sites around the volcano are always changing due to freely flowing lava and the hiking time can change.

Representer of Reykjavik Excursions (FlyBus) will pick you up from hotel. Please make sure to wait outside the hotel. You will be taken to the bus terminal where you go on to the bus that takes you directly to the airport. Estimated transfer time is 45min.
