Arrival Airport: Luka Airport (Tenzing Hilary Airport)

After arriving at the airport the group will have time to rest after a long flight before beginning our trek to Phakding (this initial part of the trek takes ~4 hours).

The walking is fairly flat and we will enjoy the pleasant scenery along the way as we get to know our fellow travelers. The walk will be relatively flat as we make our way to Cheplung village. From this little village we will have clear views of Mt. Khumila, a sacred mountain that has never been climbed (to protect its sacred nature).

Enjoy a delicious welcome dinner prepared for you at a local teahouse for trekkers. Relax and be delighted by the local cuisine.

Day 2: Cheplung Village to Namche Bazaar

After waking up to a delicious traditional breakfast at the local teahouse, we will trek from Phakding to Namche. This trek is mostly uphill and will take approximately four hours. As we steadily climb in altitude, enjoy the brisk mountain air and if we’re lucky some of the local wildlife along the trail. As we enter the Benkar Valley we will officially enter Everest National Park (crossing a large suspension bridge). As we wind our way up the mountain, we will pass a number of small villages along the way.

In the afternoon, we will continue our trek towards Namche Bazaar.

Spend the evening at your leisure exploring the area surrounding the teahouse. Explore on your own or relax at the local teahouse before enjoying dinner.

Day 3: Acclimatization Day - Hike to Everest Viewpoint

Meet up with our guide for the day's adventures as you spend a day acclimatizing to the altitude. We will spend time relaxing in the Everest town of Namche - visiting some of the local establishments and walking the surrounding area.

After enjoying a traditional lunch in the village, take advantage of an optional partial-day hike if you wish to stretch your legs. Your acclimatization will occur naturally as you remain at this altitude.

Day 4: Trek to Tengboche

Once again we will start our day early to enjoy the sunrise from Namche. Enjoy an early breakfast at your local teahouse before setting out for Tengboche.

We will continue our hike onwards to Tengboche - a hiking time of approximately 6 hours total - enjoying the amazing view of the mountains from the ridge (a nice leisurely hike which takes around 4 hrs to get to this point).

We anticipate arriving in Tengboche by the early afternoon, at which time we’ll have some time to enjoy the local area with our fellow travelers. As we explore the area, we will visit the biggest monastery in the Everest region.

Dine on some new dishes and immerse yourself in the beautiful culture and cuisine of Nepal.

Day 5: Trek to Dingboche

Enjoy breakfast overlooking the beautiful valley and prepare for a day of hiking.

Today we leave the beautiful village of Tengboche, we will cross another large suspension bridge into a heavily wooded area with rhododendron trees. As we walk through the wooded area, we’ll steadily climb over the next 6 hours to reach Dingboche, another local village on the way up the mountain-side.

Upon arrival at Dingboche, we will set down our belongings and take some time to freshen up and relax. Explore the surrounding area on your own before meeting back at the local teahouse in the evening for dinner where you'll dine on delicious Nepalese dishes.

Day 6: Acclimatization Hike to Nangkar Tshang

Prior to breakfast, take a few minutes to venture out of your local teahouse to enjoy the beautiful sunrises that occur at this elevation. We will take a guided sunrise tour for those wanting to arise early, but the focus of today will be acclimatizing at the new altitude of Dingboche.

After our morning excursion, we will spend time to relax around the village - or venture out for an afternoon hike - exploring the surrounding area. Returning to the local teahouse to meet up with the group for dinner.

Day 7: Trek to Lobuche

Enjoy breakfast overlooking the beautiful treeline below Dingboche and prepare for a day of hiking.

Today we leave the beautiful village of Dingboche. We will have a fairly easy trek this day lasting for approximately 6 hours as we scale the mountain with our guide and team. Your porters will take the trail ahead to ensure all of your equipment arrives at the camp in advance of your arrival.

As we near Lobuche village, we will start to see a colorful array of prayer flags (famous in the photographs of Everest). The area is a stunning place to stop and get photographs as the prayer flags add to the aesthetic of the hilltops / trails. Upon arrival in Lobuche we will settle into our teahouse accommodation.

Dine on delicious Nepalese dishes for dinner with your travel companions.

Day 8: Trek to Ghorakhep - Arrive at Everest Base Camp

Enjoy breakfast overlooking the Himalayas as we prepare for a long day of trekking.

As we set out today for base camp, we will come equipped with an array of snacks and supplies for a full day of trekking. We will wake up early in the morning to start the hike and it is on this day we’ll see some of the best views of the Himalayas.

Rest up from hiking and enjoy a delicious lunch along the trail. We expect to arrive at base camp by the early afternoon. At this stunning place we will stop and wonder at the many climbers that are preparing to tackle the highest summit in the world. Spark conversations with climbers who have been here for months preparing their minds and bodies for one of the greatest mountain challenges.

After we spend time taking the scene all in, we will depart and head down to the village of Gorakshep where we will settle in for the evening.

Day 9: Trek to Ghorakhep - Arrive at Everest Base Camp

As we set out today we will descend the mountain (hiking for 5-6 hours) to reach the Himalayan village of Pheriche. Enjoy your accomplishments as you reflect on the incredible hiking experience you’ve made it through!

Rest up from hiking and enjoy a delicious lunch along the trail. We anticipate arriving in Pheriche by the late afternoon.

Day 10: Trek to Namche Bazaar

We will depart in the early morning for Pheriche, another small village on the way to Everest. We will make the steep descent towards Namche Bazaar

We expect to arrive in Namche Bazaar in the late afternoon. Enjoy a local dinner with your travel companions sharing with one another the memories of the climb

Day 11: Trek to Lukla

Enjoy breakfast before preparing for another day of trekking.

We will depart in the early morning for Lukla, trekking downhill through most of the day. We will stop to enjoy lunch at a local teahouse before continuing down the mountain.

Today we will enjoy a delicious breakfast before departing via plane from Lukla to Kathmandu. Later catching our flights home.
