At a place where two continents quite literally brush up against each other, Iceland is a dynamic land of fire and ice. Get up close to natural wonders as you make your way through lava tubes, observe active volcanoes, and watch for whales off the coast. From geysers to glaciers, the elements are on full display in Iceland.


  • Walk atop a glacier in Vatnajökull National Park, and visit the iceberg-dotted Jökulsárlón lagoon.
  • Relax at the famous Blue Lagoon with geothermal water.

Day 1:  Arrive in Reykjavik early in the morning and enjoy a stop at the beautiful Blue Lagoon first before heading into the city of Reykjavik.  The geothermal water has a unique composition, featuring three active ingredients – Silica, Algae & Minerals.  Leaving your skin silky smooth after you leave.  Reykjavik is the capital of Iceland and the largest city in the country. Although it is the largest in the country, it’s still a small city and you can explore pretty much everything you want within a day.  We will visit the Rekjanes Peninsula (Lighthouse) – which was the first lighthouse built in Iceland, eat lunch at one of Iceland’s famous hot dog stands the baejarins beztu pylsur, and visit the Hallgrimskirka (Iceland’s largest Church).  In the evening, we will have the opportunity to hike up to a beautiful national hot springs called Hveragardi and enjoy an evening under the stars!  Accommodation: Reykjavik Hotel

Days 2:  Today you will wake up bright and early, enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast, and head out on a journey through the "Golden Circle".  The Golden Circle offers the opportunity to see a meeting-point of the continental plates and sites of the ancient Icelandic Parliament, a spouting hot spring and a roaring waterfall.  We will then go visit the beautiful Pingviller National Park and check out all of the history behind this beautiful destination.  We will check out the geysers at Haukadalu and Stokker, the Gullfoss waterfall, Haifoss Waterfall, Kerid Crater, and many more beautiful sights along our journey!   Each of these locations are very famous throughout Iceland and offer beautiful opportunities to take stunning photos.  Accommodation: Reykjavik Hotel

Day 3:   Today you will enjoy a hearty breakfast at your hotel.  Our next two waterfall stops will be Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss. Both waterfalls are 200 feet tall and is quite a sight to see.  Continue on to Stakkholtsgia canyon to hike through beautiful valleys and rivers as you take photos of the surrounding landscapes and scenery.  We will continue on to visit the Reynisfjara black sand beach with its beautiful overhanging salt columns and Dyrhlaey or “Door Island”.  In the afternoon, we will visit the Solheimasandur plane wreckage.  In 1973, a United States Navy DC plane ran out of fuel and crashed on the black beach.  The remains are still on the sand close to the area.  We will end the evening with dinner at the Halldorskaggi Restaurant and enjoy some delicious Icelandic Pizzas and Burgers.  Accommodation: Volcano Hotel

Day 4:   After another delicious breakfast, enjoy another beautiful morning at the beautiful black sand beaches of Southern Iceland.  Reynisfjara is a black pebble beach and features an amazing cliff of regular basalt columns resembling a rocky step pyramid, which is called Hálsanef.   Visit the Solheimajokull glacier and have the opportunity to walk around the beautiful village of Vik and eat some authentic Icelandic food at a famous restaurant called Sudur.  You will get to spend the evening hiking to the Seljavallalaug pool, a picturesque man made hot pool in the mountains that the Iceland people bath in for it’s incredible health benefits.  Accommodation: Volcano Hotel

Hike through the Fjadrargliufur canyon, as you hike above a beautiful canyon with numerous rivers running underneath it.  This location is so pretty it looks like a fairytale!  Next travel onwards to Skaftafell where you will enjoy a nice hike to another beautiful waterfall and several glaciers, including Svartifoss – a beautiful waterfall with basalt columns.  Next we will head towards Jokulasarlon, where you will get to see all of those beautiful pictures of chunks of glacier ice on the black sand beach with bright blue glaciers floating in the water.  If weather permits,  you will have the opportunity to view and/or hike Vestrahorn Mountain.  After sunset, head back to your hotel for a relaxing evening and another delicious dinner together.   Accommodation: Hali Country Hotel

Day 5:  Enjoy a traditional Icelandic breakfast buffet at the hotel. Before setting out on your day.  As we travel throughout the East Fjords we will experience several beautiful sights such as the Detifoss waterfall. As we drive through little towns like Djupivogur and Egilssaoir you will get a taste for what local Iceland is really like.  Enjoy delicious food and beautiful sights as we continue our journey through the East Fjords.   Visit Godafoss, which means "Waterfall of the Gods" and continue onwards to Hvammstangi, a town known for seals! Later we will venture into the West Fjords.  Visit Holmavik for some stunning views – and then on to Isafjordur for even more stunning views! Spend the evening at the hotel and possibly get the opportunity to see the Northern Lights.  You will end the evening and experience another Traditional Icelandic Dinner together. Day 6:  Wake up first thing in the morning to catch the sunrise at Kirkjufell. This is a popular location for photographers, as Kirkjufell is an impressive looking mountain that means "Church Mountain".   Have the opportunity to hike to the top of the mountain if you want.  Next, head to the Hellnar sea cliffs and enjoy your time exploring this sleepy coastal village.  Hellnar is famous for their geology, trade history, geography and wildlife.  Spend some time at Hellnar before travelling back home to Reykajavik to prepare for your flights home the following day.   Accommodation: Reykjavik Hotel

Day 7: Finally, we will head back to the Reykjavik AIrport in time to catch your international flight back home or continue onwards to Greenland for another incredible adventure!
