Itinerary | 8 Days
Day 1 Provence : Today you will arrive in the beautiful Provence region - check into your hotel and have an opportunity to explore the surroundings around you. Stroll the Cours Mirabeau, from the vast Rotonde roundabout and fountain. Explore the broad acres of southern France's stateliest avenue lined with phalanxes of plane trees, dotted with more fountains and edged with classical townhouses. Enjoy a traditional welcome dinner in the evening as we begin to discuss the culinary week ahead. Accommodation: Hotel Berard
Day 2, Cooking Class: Your day will begin with a local trip to the market to purchase fresh, seasonal produce for your hands-on lesson with Michelin Star Chef - Réne Bérard. He will issue you your chef's hat, recipes and embroidered apron. You will cook a variety of French cuisine meals that will heighten your taste buds. In this fun and relaxing class, you will feel right at home enjoying your finished meal with a fine glass of vino to end the day. Accommodation: Hotel Berard
Day 3, Vineyard Visit & Wine Tasting: Immerse yourself in the beautiful wine regions of Côtes de Provence Sainte-Victoire & Côteaux d’Aix-en-Provence located at the foothills of the famous Sainte-Victoire mountain. With your wine guide, you will learn about the soil, climate, local grape varieties and about the winemaking process while fisting family-owned wineries and cellars. Explore the elegant city of Aix-en-Provence and take in all that you see from all of the breathtaking views. Accommodation: Hotel Berard
Day 4, Honey & Lavender Farm Visit: As you travel along picturesque, winding roads to Valensole Plateau and enjoy panoramic views over the golden wheat and blue lavender fields. Pause along the way to capture the colorful crops in bloom through the eye of your camera. Then, stop off at L'Occitane cosmetics factory to visit the museum and gain insight into the story behind this famous trademark. End the day with a heartfelt cuisine at Jean-Francois Bérard and enjoy flavorful mediterranean cuisine. Accommodation: Hotel Berard
Day 5, Olive Mill Visit: After a delicious breakfast you will embark on a tour to the local village where you will experience a myriad of wine vineyards and local olive mills. You will have an opportunity to see how the wines and oils are made and taste selection of four local wines, olive oils, and vinegars. The wine, olive oil and vinegar tasting will be paired with a variety of local products and traditional sweets. Then a multi-course dinner will be served on the panoramic terrace with a candlelight dinner to follow. Accommodation: Hotel Berard
Day 6, Cooking Class | Artisan Cheese Visit: Taste the fresh, delicious and tasty cheese directly at the farm and meet the cheesemakers. You will experience an incredible time cooking with the different cheeses in this special cooking class. Follow our goat cheese routes in La Provence Verte. Day 7, Cooking Class | French Cuisine:
Begin your last day with a trip to the garden, where you will discover and gather various herbs, medicinal plants, fruit and vegetables.
