Itinerary | 7 Days
Day 1 Bangkok, Thailand | Traditional Welcome Dinner: : You will be greeted at the Bangkok Airport by your private driver and escorted to your hotel. After you have settled in we will set off to explore the city. In the evening we will dine on fine cuisine during our traditional welcome dinner as we watch the sun set over Wan Arun. Visit to Damnoen Saduak floating market, where wooden boats are filled to the brim with fruits, vegetables, and flowers. Accommodation: Tints of Blue Boutique Hotel
Day 2, Traditional Thai Cooking Classes: You will experience three unique cooking classes in Bangkok taught by some of the best chefs in Southeast Asia. The classes are completely hands-on, with each student having their own cooking station. There is no better way to learn Thai cooking than being in Southeast Asia and learning from a professional local chef. You will prepare dishes such as succulent green & red curries, stir-fried noodles, spicy & sour soups, fresh spring rolls, and delicious seafood dishes such as fish amok. Each cooking class will include a visit to the market, where you will learn how to source ingredients and identify different Thai herbs, vegetables, and fruits that will be used in the cooking. You will learn both technique and theory and at the end of each class will walk away with your very own cookbook. Day 3, Street Food Tour: Bangkok is full of many neighborhoods that each has a unique cuisine. From street stalls, to local eateries, and fine dining restaurants – there is history, culture, and tradition to be learned with every bite. Learn about how certain recipes were created, why particular ingredients are used, and savor a variety of mouth-watering flavors that you have never before tasted. Day 4, Bangkok Temples and Floating Markets: We will have the opportunity to stroll through the Queen Sikit Botanical Gardens, visit a few of Bangkok’s many temples, learn meditation at Wat Mahathat, hike to the top of Golden Mount to see panoramic views of the city, and even watch traditional dancing at Erawan Shrine. We will also visit markets such as Or Tor Kor and Namg Leong Market, wet markets that are home to stall after stall of colorful fruits and exotic produce, and one of the best places to try traditional food such as stir-fry noodles and mango sticky rice. Day 5, Grand Palace & Wat Prakeaw Visit: The Grand Palace is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is considered to be one of the new ancient wonders of the world. It is absolutely stunning in both architecture and history. We will discover the mysteries of this palace and many other temples on a full-day, small-group temples tour Bangkok. If there is one must-see sight in Bangkok, it is the spectacular Grand Palace - the city's most famous landmark. The palace served as the home of the Thai King for more than 150 years and it continues to awe visitors with its beautiful architecture and intricate detail, all tribute to the creativity and craftsmanship of the Thai people.

Day 6, Traditional Parting Dinner | Cultural Show: On our last evening together we will dine on delicious cuisine at the largest buffet in Bangkok – the Kou Len dinner buffet. Here we will have the opportunity to not only dine, but also to watch a traditional Khmer dance show – consisting of 5 different dance forms from classical to folk dancing. This is a perfect way to end our cultural and culinary adventure to Southeast Asia… or to prepare us for an extension to Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. Accommodation: Tints of Blue Boutique Hotel
Day 7, Departure: After a delicious breakfast and leisurely morning, we will say goodbye to Thailand as we depart to catch our international flights back home or extend our stay another 4-days in Vietnam (see Vietnam extension directly right).

In the mornign we will set out for the Mekong Delta, one of Vietnam’s two main rice bowls. We will pass through lands comprised of low-lying rice paddies and rivers that are bordered by dense mangroves and palms. Boarding a longtail boat, we will pass through the Mekong Delta and Ben Tre to explore fishing villages and the four islands of Dragon, Unicorn, Turtle, and Phoenix. We will cruise along Vam, Xep, a small canal with many little village houses dotted along its sides and glimpse the daily life of the local villagers and join them for a traditional lunch. During our ride, our guide will explain the agriculture of the region and how it is incorporated into the local Vietnamese cuisine. Vietnamese food is one of the healthiest cuisines in the world. On our adventure to Vietnam not only will we learn about the culture around the cuisine, but also how food is used as medicine. During a hands-on cooking class -- held in the most beautiful agricultural village -- we will see our Vietnamese Medicine Garden with many different kinds of herbs, spices, and vegetables. We will learn about the Mushroom House and experience what it is like to be a Vietnamese farmer. We will then select herbs and vegetables from the garden and our talented, professional chefs will show us how easy it is to prepare delicious healthy food using these ingredients. After our cooking class we will have the opportunity to watch professional Vietnamese chefs show their amazing cooking skills. Our evenings will be spent enjoying the city life of beautiful Ho Chi Minh.
